These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of k-law.com (the "Site"), operated by Koussan Law ("Koussan Law," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

An attorney-client relationship is formed only after we have reviewed your matter, confirmed there is no conflict of interest, and you have signed a written engagement agreement with our firm. Do not send us confidential, time-sensitive, or privileged information until we have confirmed in writing that we represent you.
4. No legal advice
The content on the Site — including articles, FAQs, case summaries, calculators, and location pages — is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each matter and applicable law. You should not act or refrain from acting based on any information on the Site without consulting a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.
5. Intellectual property

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for matters that cannot be limited under applicable law, including claims for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or violations of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Koussan Law and its attorneys, staff, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
11. Governing law and forum
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any lawsuit or legal proceeding arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving the original intent.
13. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Koussan Law regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
